Torrent has 131 seeders but is downloading slow

 · A lot of so called seeders are cheating and upping at a couple of bits per second.. i.e. really slow. I get good speeds on most torents with 5+ seeds, unless it's got anything to do with bltadwin.ru listed in the tracker details.. Those I avoid because they traffic shape real bad. Try some pr0n with a reasonable number of seeds.. as a test.  · All torrents are downloading VERY slow, sometimes down to 15 kB/s, not usually more that 50 kB/s. I can usually download torrents at around MB per second, yet this one refuses to get above 3 KB per second, even though it has hundreds of seeders and peers (to be honest, I don't exactly know the difference. I've got a similiar problem with a capped upload speed, independent on how many leechers the torrent has, I only reach speeds between kbit/s. I'm not sure but I think this happend after updating to vista sp1 (ultimate bit). Before my upload was usually somewhere above kbit/s. Download is still fine and my port is forwarded properly.

i don't want to change all the minor settings - that might actually slow things down instead. the speed is normally ok. i have problems just with "fresh" torrents and torrents with a lot of seeds. if the torrent has more than available seeds it'll usually be a long time till it connects to the faster wants. bltadwin.ruld was enabled. Slow torrent downloads are commonly caused by a few factors.
